We are going to travel across the wonderful world of making a miniature painting, a brief overview on the methods and the procedures. Meanwhile, looking at a number of old treatises from the 13th and 16th centuries, I compare the past and present methods and styles. And finally, I address the process of the martial preparation as well as the various stages of manufacturing a miniature painting. These, however, are preceded by a very brief historical account of major Persian painting schools in Iran and Central Asia.
